Συλλογή 008: The calm before the storm - LA March 2020
Yes, I know it has been quite some time since the last post. And a lot has happened. We know. I won't dwell on it. Our trip to LA was right before the whole country and the world shut down. I left LA less than a week before DC, well you know.
There is more to come. During this time, jogging and pictures kept me sane but first some pics and musings from the place I spent almost half my life, the City of Angels.
When we visit, we hit up the old joints we used to frequent. At least we try. Taco trucks, restaurants, bars and of course a poolside BBQ with all our friends that still live in LA, hosted by our man Christian.
When we dated in LA, we never went to Griffith Observatory. We decided this time to head up for an afternoon hike and a view of the sunset.
The picture below took me back to the days I first started driving in LA. I would take off late night driving across its long boulevards stretching from downtown to the beach. I loved driving at night. It was the only time the 10 and most streets would be quiet starkly contrasting the day's gridlock. I would get lost in the string of stoplights and find peace. I would be awed by the ever changing scenery from bustling neighborhoods to literally suburbia.
These pics really made me smile. While we have absolutely no clue or for the ones that know better than me we are still learning, but I can't help thinking of the interesting personalities animals have. Now, I may attribute these to them, in an attempt to humanize them but still capturing these moments is one of the reasons I enjoy photography.
Finally enjoy an LA sunset (although DC is pretty awesome and Greece is hands down the Queen of Sunsets) and a view of my old neighborhood, DTLA.
See you soon LA.
